ABOUT
The Program
Multicultural Mania is a high-energy, super fun, intensive, two-week learning experience for students in 3rd-5th grade. The course will feature craft making, songs, games, food preparation, dancing, and more!
This is a great opportunity to give students a trip around the world and open their eyes to new cultures. Students will study linguistics, cultural anthropology, sociology, humanities, and world history all while having a great time! This exploratory language course will help students identify their interests for future foreign language study in middle school, high school, or college and help introduce them to study abroad opportunities and international career opportunities.
The Instructor
Becky Klassen started learning French in kindergarten when she was four years old. She attended Grove City College and received a BA in French/ Spanish education. She later received a M.Ed. in Foreign Language Education/ TESOL from the University of South Florida. She has lived in France, Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, and Paraguay. For nearly twenty years, she has taught students from all over the world ranging in age from preschool to graduate school. She is passionate about language learning and other cultures.
